A beautiful morning (again). The nicer the weather gets, the earlier I wake up. The farrier was supposed to come today at 11:30. Randy (Joe's owner) was here before 11 waiting....and waiting. I called John at 12, 12:30, 1:30...he didn't answer and didn't show. I cancelled out of my therapy dog gig in case he showed up. At 2:30 he called from the hospital with a serious infection in his right hand. He will be there until the antibiotics cause some improvement. I hope we will be able to reschedule.
...no wind and in the 70s.
We have more flowers blooming now than any other time.
This is from the tulip family.
The fields of winter wheat out back are no longer just dirt...luscious green.
Justine was having a lesson today, so I dragged the indoor...then she had it in the outdoor, so it still looks perfect!
My whip collection.

This afternoon I fed the horses early as we were going out to dinner and a gallery opening at a nearby Village.
We were told about a Cafe/Coffee house in Albion, so we thought we would give it a shot. Our friends Roger and Tina (Christina's World) drove us out in their new car...could not ask for better service!
The flowers at the Coffee Shop were beautiful.

We all ordered paninis and had a taste of a fabulous soup-red pepper gouda.
The owner is also an opera singer and they have a stage on the second floor of the building (built in the 1800's) where three different groups were performing tonight.
As you can see, the architecture is pretty interesting.
Here's the exterior of the Coffee House. I'm not sure what Tina, Roger and Gary are looking at.

These antique cars added to the look of things.
By 7:45 we arrived at the new gallery...Marti's at Main. Several artists from Orleans County formed a group and were holding an exhibit there.
How's this for a wind chime?
The Gallery is actually in the home of one of the members...it is something she has always wanted to do.
The gardens in front of the house were bursting with tulips.
Home around the time it got dark. Put the horses in for the night and here I am...
Goodnight all!

Coffee house, opera singer? Looks like a little something for both of us and a must drive for Mother's Day or at least future gift. Thanks for the tip
ReplyDeleteWe'll be picking up Win at 7:00am for her Lilac Parade debut. We'll groom and feed if needed there since there will be 2.5 to 3 hrs of down time. They close the roads by 8:30 so we have to get there early.

What a fun filled day. Great photos! I especially like the flowers and the moon, which was especially bright last night. I've never tried photographing the moon. Might be an interesting experiment.
