Hopefully, I am set until the new hay is ready. I love the upstairs of our barn....it would make a great loft apartment...the kind an artist would appreciate.
I took these shots from inside the barn...as you can see, my outdoor ring (to the right) is still muddy and holding water.
Little green leaves are starting to grow....just watch, we will have a lot more snow. Right now (8:40pm) we have thunder, lightning and rain... the temperature is 36 degrees. Just took a nice hot shower and am ready to roll up into a little ball.
Oh, and I bet you curled up by the fire, too! How nice. If I had a fire I'd be laying on the floor next to it. I have had the chills all day! I sure hope you don't get anymore snow. It would be nice if you were on your way to Spring. I'm sure the horses would like it.
ReplyDeleteI love your last picture - a bit of green sprouting through last year's leaves. Today I also went on a search for Spring.
ReplyDeleteWhile I was waiting Friday I could have thrown down hay and swept. New Skoog Farm rule to go along with "NO whinning".... new one "Those who can't ride work the farm".
ReplyDeleteThat's not an outdoor arena it's the spring pond. We fish in the spring then use as arena come June. :-)
Wow! Hurray for the new greenness!!
ReplyDeleteThis weather is magical balm for my tired soul! Let's just hope that we don't have any more snow to freeze those lovely little green babies.
ReplyDeleteNice, bring on the spring!

ahhh, I guess no warm and sunny for you then. Sorry. It's 86 today and, well, strange. That's about 35 degrees warmer than it should be and the horses AND people don't know what to make of it.
ReplyDeleteI know it has made ME giddy.
Like your shot of the hyacinth leaves sprouting from the leaves. Gorgeous.
Lori,
ReplyDeleteLove your new look! I always liked the other one, but this one blew me away!
Funny, I feel the same way as your blogger friend. I never watched a horse roll without being bloody fascinated. I'm always rooting for Sunshine to roll all the way over, and he always does.(fat as he is).
Tina
We're getting our first green shoots in Utah, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd we're getting the occasional warm day.
What a pretty hayloft and pasture. You have quite a nice horse setup there.
