BREAKING UP...
At 4:30 this afternoon I had to run a few errands...the clouds were trying to break up producing a very dramatic sky.

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN....
I just got these photos from my good friend Terri, who moved to California from Brockport. I miss her very much, but she and her husband are surrounded by their children and being together is number one. Jill, her oldest daughter, is about to have her first baby and all are looking forward to the first grandchild. Her friends back here will be happy to see everyone.
GREY MONDAY...
SAUCE AND SOUP....
This is another one of those dark days where being in the house is cozy. On Saturday we picked tons of veggies to decorate our farm wagon and we gave away eggplants as favors.
Today Gary decided to attack the peppers, onions and tomatoes and is making our fifth batch of sauce. I, on the other hand, decided to make a potato-leek soup with onions, carrots and cheddar cheese. It smells very good in here.

SPEAKING OF DINNER...
Just before dark I went out to the garden and picked some spinach...then I warmed up some leftover veggie lasagna from last night, made a salad (everything from our garden) and brought out some bread made by a friend and local mass baker (who happened to bring 4 or 5 loaves yesterday). Yummy dinner.
IT'S RAINING, NOT POURING.....
It started to rain last night, and it is still coming down. A good day to stay in the house with a nice fire, and make applesauce with Finn and Coop d'Ville. Today is Gary's birthday, and we got a call from Ariana out in Nevada (where it is still in the high 90s) to give him her best wishes. She will be spending some time here, with her sister Daniela, in January and wants a promise that it will be real cold...I think we can keep that promise!
THE BROCKPORT FARM MARKET...
I feel guilty about this post, as last week Gayle (in Alaska) had all of her gardens frozen when the temperature went down to 18 degrees. Here, we are in prime time with our gardens and all of this produce is grown within 10 or 15 miles of Brockport. When I have my camera in my pocket, it is positively hard to resist. Regardless of the weather, friends and neighbors show up every Sunday. We are so fortunate to have this available.
