Such a Good Dog

This day was all about Little Wonder.  After watching a couple episodes of the Diplomat, it was time to give him a shower.  Today he had a wellness appointment with the Vet and I was concerned about a pea sized growth he has had on his belly for several years.  The other day he scratched it and then started licking it.  Had me worried.  Because he is always such a good boy he got in the shower with me. He had a long soak, was shampooed and then I put conditioner on him.  Thought I had it properly rinsed....started blow drying him and discovered that he needed more rinsing.  So back in the shower he went.

He was such a good sport about it.  I used up a lot of towels having to do it twice.

Eventually he dried off and at 2:40
we were down at the Brockport Animal Hospital.
He never seems to mind going there and is always quiet and well behaved.....waiting for his turn.
First they weighed him....36.6 pounds.
Dr. Delucia (fomerly my student when he was in high school) checked him out and I was relieved that there were no problems.  Great teeth, heart sounded fine, etc. etc. etc.  Said he had some good muscle.  After that, a technician came in and clipped his nails.  He has been groomed his entire life and has always been good for that.
He loved getting back in the car.
Around 4 the sun was out and I decided to go for a trike ride.
Ride #38
It was chilly.
Dinner....a pita sandwich with meatballs and cheese.  Only a couple TBSP of sauce (leftover).
We still have cucumbers from the garden, so that was our salad.
Night all.

PS
Just spoke to a friend in North Carolina who said the lines for early voting are very long!

This year....many Republicans have had it and are ready to stand up for some decency so their kids can have a future under democracy.

  1. Both Hannah and Charlie hate having their nails trimmed, I have to do it at the vet's office. Charlie cries as if he is being murdered the whole time and Hannah wiggles and needs two people to handle her.
I've tried everything to get them used to it. All my other dogs have never been a problem!

Love that you gave him a shower! Mine get showers too but I have a hand held shower head which makes it easy.

So glad LW is doing so well!

  2. I had a yellow lab named Bill. I called him Best Dog in the World. He would wiggle almost out of his skin. I think that crown is passed onto Little Wonder.
