Soaked

This was my least favorite day so far.  Too muggy.  Gary and I both started off the morning picking at least 2 quarts of strawberries.  He took the bowl down to a friend's house for coffee and I made some refrigerator jam.  Also gave some to a friend and froze a bag.

At 1 I was at the library for bridge.  Rosalie and I came in dead last.  When I got there, it was 91 degrees.  By the time I left the weather started to change and it was pouring within 2 minutes.  As in a torrential downpour.
I had to stop at Wegmans and when leaving, got totally drenched.  Wet enough to have to throw my clothes in the dryer and had to dry my hair.  Eventually started on dinner.
Sautéed onions and peppers...finished with fresh tomatoes.
Tossed it with some angel hair and garnished with some fresh parsley.
So good.
Afterward, Little Wonder and I needed some chair time.

Normally I post right after dinner, but did not have it in me and took a short nap.
Hopefully it will cool down a bit tomorrow.  Should stay in the 70s.

Night all.

  1. Remember the song, "Lonely days, lonely nights..." Perhaps your song is: "Muggy days, muggy nights..." Ick. I don't care for that weather either, and here I am, living in the middle of it! (But I think the NE is currently worse than FL) I meant to tell you how amazing your veggie garden looks. Yum!

  2. Boy it sure was humid here yesterday too. Dew Point and temp the same with 98% humidity. It was like walking through a water tank...

  3. Moderate is a word the weather doesn't seem to understand anymore. You will have no shortage of strawberries over the winter.
