Remembering Rosie

We had a colorful morning and ended up with a lot of rain, thunder and lightning.  Down the road they had mothball sized hail that covered the grass.

After chores I grabbed a shower and we headed down to Brockport to attend services for our friend Rosie Rich, who passed away a few days ago.  You may remember her from the posts I put up regarding our panel discussions at the college about age and activity.  The students loved her.  So did this entire community!

A couple of years ago, we celebrated her birthday the night of our SWOONERS/CONCERT/PARTY.
That night she was 90 years old.
After the service we had lunch at the church and shortly after we got home it started to pour.
I did not want Rebel or Buddy to get struck by lightning so they went in their stalls until 4:30.  Turned them out for a few minutes while I reset them and it was still pouring.  They made out like bandits in the hay department today!
Tucked back in by 5.

I made the leftover sloppy Joes into sloppy cheese burgers for dinner.  We had plenty of food after the service and did not need much tonight.
LW wanted my dinner, even tho he had scrambled eggs with his.
Night all.

  1. So sorry for the loss of Rosie in your community and I hope others remember her lovingly, too.
We had warm weather today, high at 74*F and low tonight of 62*F. How weird is that? Back to cooler weather soon.

    Hugs!

  2. Sorry about Rosie. She seemed to be a wonderful endearing person.

We are back to 20 F this morning. What a change from nearly 65 yesterday.

    1. Rosie seems to have touched many hearts in her long life. I'm sure the boys appreciated a glorious hay banquet.
