And The Celebration Continued

Lots of sunshine and wind.  No masks for the boys this morning.

After chores I did a few things in the house....LW kept me company.

At 10 I drove Gary down to the Welcome Center as he and his pals had a booth selling native plants.
All kinds of things were going on.  Yesterday it was ribbon cutting day and today was all about Low Bridge High Water activities.
Many of the usual suspects were there.

There was a lot of boat activity.

People were able to take out kayaks and many did so.  There is a very nice launch there so it's very easy to get in and out.

Four bands played throughout the event...mostly High School kids.
We got home around 2:30 and Gary proceeded to pick about 5 quarts of strawberries.  Two containers are in the freezer already, he took a basket full to the Kutz family, saved a quart for Jenny and I'm using the rest for a Father's Day Strawberry shortcake.  I am going to have to put out a for sale sign tomorrow.
Dinner was a cheesy cauliflower casserole with celery, carrots, onions and hard boiled eggs.

Vegetarian tonight.

Chores at 8:45.

They were ready.

Night all.

PS
No Kings Day was very impressive, unlike the birthday party in Washington.
PSSS
A friend participated in a protest in Brighton and this was one of the signs....I need to share it.

  1. Cool sign. I loved the photos from other bloggers too. The costumes people thought up to protest in were amazing.
I was with everyone in heart, soul, and mind...

We had strawberry shortcake for supper. And why not?

  2. Minnesota turned out despite the order not to. I am proud. It looks like you had a really nice day.
