A lot of melting today!
I ended. up putting old hay and some dirt on the path to the gate so there would be some texture if it freezes tonight.
Little Wonder did not need to wear a coat morning or evening.
This afternoon I had an appointment for my annual eye exam. It took two hours, and I picked out new distance and reading glasses. Had to wear this on the way home as my eyes had been dilated. I was just waiting to be told I needed cataract surgery....but no! Maybe next year.
Earlier I had made a phone list for at least 1 R congressperson from each state. (A couple states had only Dems). I started calling them this morning and actually talked to people instead of leaving messages. If you decide to call them, ask them to read back the notes taken for the message. They did not write what I said and made generic comments instead. I reread them my message and told them exactly what to say and by that time I was not too happy. Give it a shot. This is not the time to be shy about it.
My message was like this:
First, get rid of Musk. He is not your friend.
Second, since you are not standing up for America I assume you are willing to live under a dictatorship.
You can speak up, putting your country ahead of being primaried, or you can keep your mouth shut, having given up all integrity. Either way, you are going to lose as you have thrown your constituents under the bus. Your families too.
Got back to the farm at 4 and I had not started on dinner. Ended up having to have picnic food that I could make quickly.
Chores at 5:45. Still nice and light.
Night all.
You have been busy!
ReplyDeleteWow. Michelle Fishbach, ah well. A ruby red district. You are a trooper. We reached 50 yesterday, too. The snow is gone except for a few spots here and there.
ReplyDeleteSometimes people are so blase about listening to what you really are saying. When I was in hospital waiting to fly down to Wellington for my angiogram ( and then stent surgery) I mentioned that I am nervous about flying. The nurse interpreted this as( and this was in the notes I later requested ) Mrs McK... is nervous about the procedure.!!! I mentioned to a friend in Ontario about hand warmers that are air activated and last all day in gloves. Good to -20C and even colder, according to grandson. And I found some down here in the mobility equipment shop locally !!! You might need them if a cold spell arrives for another attack.
