We are supposed to have two frigid days in a row and then we should get back in the 30s.
We ended up with 5 or 6 inches of snow and the boys had their hay under the shed roof.
While I finished chores, Gary got a good start on the driveway with the snow blower....then we did a little shoveling as there was ice underneath.
Jenny had called at 8am to see if we needed any help and came up around 9.
This afternoon, the snowflake got bigger and bigger.
Sidney woke me up at 4am to go outside and he came back in around 6:15. After he ate his breakfast he sacked out on the couch and stayed there for over 9 hours. He knew it was too cold out there, even with all of his beds.
We had a lot of wind again and I can't believe this is where the horses preferred to stand much of the day. They could have had protection all over the place.
We had some fire time this afternoon and went out for evening chores a little before 5.
Ariana arrived last night (actually 2am this morning) and was picked up at the airport by Finn and Coop. They all needed some sleep today. While we were in the barn, she found a pair of boots, walked out to see us and checked on the horses.
We were able to have a nice conversation before she went back to Jenny's for pizza with Finn and Coop.
Cabbage soup, Johnny cake and apples were on our menu. Comfort food.
Night all.
