The water trough was frozen this morning. That's all you need to know. However, at 6:45am the sunrise was beautiful.
I put some hay in the front paddock for the boys. They took two nibbles and left for the pasture.
Little Wonder did not have to worry about getting muddy feet.
I moved the water trough over to its winter place. We had an electrician set us up with an on and off switch for the heater so I don't have to mess around.
I spent part of the afternoon by the fire and got hooked on another series. A comedy, very different. It's called AP-Bio and is about a Harvard Prof who does not get tenure and ends up teaching at a High School.
I went out a few minutes early tonight as I had to take the sheets off Buddy and Rebel and put on heavier blankets. It's going to be in the 20s and windy tomorrow. In Buffalo and toward the Pennsylvania line there is snow being measured in feet...not inches. Lake effect from Lake Erie. Part of the thruway is closed and many cars are stuck on it....not moving. As of tonight, we had no snow.
The Buffalo Bills have a game tomorrow evening and it sounds like there will be 2 feet of snow by the time it starts....and COLD! It takes a lot of people to get the snow cleared off the seats etc. They started advertising a few days ago to get help. They will be working around the clock.
Night all.
Yikes! I read about that snow. It sounds pretty dangerous. Hopefully you don't get bombed with it.
ReplyDeleteWe've been at below freezing for a few days now.
It is colder on the ridge than down here with the winds.
Enjoy your Sunday.
We've had several snow flurries but nothing that stays. It's been cold here, which I guess is normal. I cannot imagine the work involved in clearing stadium seats.
