Bridge and Pumpkin Bread

Very grey and dreary....in the 40s.

After chores I picked the indoor and did a few things around the house.
At 1 I was at Hanny's for bridge with her, Bobby and Mo.  A very relaxing afternoon.  Before leaving I had to use up some leftover pumpkin and made a pumpkin bread with walnuts in it.

Pumpkin cheesecake for dessert after we indulged in veggies, dip, apricots and nuts.

Home just a couple minutes before 5 and headed out to the barn.

A very moody moon.
Can you see Rebel?

Not cooking.
Night all.

Red Skies and All That....

Still cold.

At 7am the sky was getting more and more brilliant.

Within five minutes it turned bright red.

Little Wonder and I were out in the barn before 8.  Instead of putting my phone in my pocket...the tv remote was there!  Did not get any great photos when the boys were turned out.

Little Wonder is now wearing his black coat as he can't lose it.  The velcro on the red one is just not strong enough to hold the straps in place.

After chores I high-lighted my hair, took a shower and went down to the library for bridge.
Home by 4:15 and had no desire to make dinner.  Tucked in the boys....

and we went down to the Diner for a club sandwich....chicken salad of course
Each day the political scene has gotten more and more bizarre.  Are the officials in the Senate going to have the guts to hold confirmation hearings or are they going to give up on the first day and do nothing for the next 4 years?
Night all.

The Horse Dentist

Another bright and very cold day.

After chores I had to get on the John Deere to hunt for Little Wonder's red coat that he had lost within 15 minutes when we went to the barn.  I finally found it not the hill leading up to the hay loft.

Once we got back in the house he and Seymour were in sack mode.

The early afternoon sun was beaming into the kitchen....
and we had yet another new blossom.

Today we had to have a septic tank pumped out and afterward Gary worked on putting the dirt back in place.  It's always something.
The horse dentist arrived right at 3.  Rebel was not too excited....

but he was totally cooperative.

Buddy, on the other hand, was only cooperative for about 5 minutes and Jeff had to quit working on him.  He will have to be sedated in order for the job to get done so we will have to make another appointment.

By the time the boys were turned out, it was chore time.
Got them tucked in and it was leftover rice and beans for dinner.
Night all.
