Sunset Social at Burlingame

Another beautiful day that got hotter as it went on.  The heat will turn up tomorrow as we are unloading 150 bales of hay.  Should not be too bad at 9:30am.

Rebel was still a little gimpy today, but walked all over the pastures....bute free.  As soon as he left his stall Buddy walked in to see if there was anything left in the feeder.

After chores I organized the big stall with pallets so we can put the hay there in the morning.  Jenny and Finn are coming up to help....maybe bringing a friend.

Did a little weed whacking and then watched some of the olympic coverage.  I used to be much more interested.
At 6pm we went down to the college President's home for a dinner.  The people there all have some connection to the college and are very supportive of scholarships etc..  Always a very nice event and the weather was perfect.

We started off with appetizers in the house.

and then went out to a huge tent for dinner.
We were able to sit with friends and chatted until it was time to eat.

The President spoke for a few minutes and then
it was chow time.

We only knew about twenty of the people who were there.  Like Donna and Mike.
Linda and Victor.
Hanny, Bill, Margay, Ulpi, Dottie and Larry.
Dessert was different and such a good idea.  Make your own triffle.
All kinds of fruit, cake cubes, whipped cream and lemon curd.
Very fresh and delicious.
Home in time for evening chores.  Where did Buddy take off his mask?
Rebel was not back to normal, but was able to get around.

Tonight Little Wonder was game to go out with me.  I would love to know why he has chosen to stay in a couple times this past week.

Night all.

  1. That is such a neat desert idea, and those masks, they need locator tabs on them.
