Too Good To Be True

Chores as usual.

Whenever I put fly spray on Rebel and turn him out....he rolls within a minute.

The temperature went up to at least 80 degrees and now it is starting to cool off.  Fine with me.  They called for rain, but so far we have avoided it.  Some friend who live closer to Lake Ontario got half an inch in 12 minutes!
The John Deere was being picked up this morning and they were supposed to deliver a new one.  Well that didn't happen!!!! They did not have the new one on the truck and I refused to let them to take the one I had.  Spoke to Lowe' delivery in Syracuse and ended up going back to the store where I bought it.  They had the new one there and looked up how the mistake was made.  They had contracted the wrong delivery company and they never do an exchange.  After a very short talk, things were straightened out and I am getting the pickup/delivery tomorrow.   I'll believe it when I see it.

At 1pm we had a rehearsal and have a gig on Saturday at the Erie Canal.  "Low Bridge-High Water."  The following Saturday we will be at the LeRoy Farm Market and 6 more gigs over the next 3 months.  As per usual, Little Wonder sacked out with us and has yet to make friends with any of the band members.  It's only been 6 years!  He must not like the noise.

Gary's garlic, onions and tomatoes are in the garden behind the Studio.
The scapes (on the garlic) have started showing up and many friends would like to use them for pesto.
Little Wonder was happy to get back outside.
Gary picked more strawberries today.  I prepared them with a little sugar and put them in the freezer.  Will keep doing this so none go to waste.
Chores at 8.  I feel so sorry for these guys when there are so many gnats.  The fan was on all day and they spent a lot of time inside.

Night all.

  1. Yikes! That is so frustrating! I can't imagine dealing with that!

Your gardens look incredible. I picked strawberries yesterday with one of the neighbors. We didn't get a lot but I brought some home!

    Yum!

  2. Let us hope the JD is delivered today. Like you'd just let them take one without delivering the other. You have a busy summer schedule doing something you like. Strawberries, I grew them until I couldn't take care of the garden anymore. They are so good.

  3. We are having trouble with those awful green horse flies. Too early. I picked up fly sheets for both horses, but I'm still stewing on if they are going to be too hot for them to wear all day so haven't opened them up yet.
