New Years Eve With The Buffalo Bills

I sure am looking forward to 2024, hoping it brings us a healthy start.  2023 was a tough one at Skoog Farm.
I don't even remember the last time I saw the sun.

Gary is making progress now and he even drove down to Brockport to get a newspaper this morning.  We are still coughing off and on, but not like before.  Around 11 I made some pancakes.
He was on the phone with pals and at 1 we started watching the Bills game.
During half time, Jenny and Scott delivered us some "snacks."  Water chestnuts wrapped in bacon, shrimp, Buffalo chicken dip, veggies and a couple pieces of chocolate cream pie.  We held off on the pie and will not be eating dinner (hot dogs and beans) for a long time.

The Bills won, but it was another crazy fourth quarter.

Chores just before dark.  You would think these boys lived in a pig pen.

I have spent many nights picking their feet as they are so full of mud.
Aren't their sheets gorgeous?  Their necks and heads are caked.
Night all.  And Happy New Year!

  1. Here is hoping that you start out the New Year getting so much better and feeling better. Hoping for sunshine for you also.

If it is any consolation, my mules have been muddin' it up for days. That nice layer of mud protects them from the freezing drizzle and then the go take a sand or snow bath to wash it off and start over again!

    Muddy critters galore!
Happy New Year, here's hope for you to have a wonderful one.
