Not a very nice day. Dull, spritzy and then some fine snow. The ponies were soaked by the time they went in for dinner. No change in the pond so far.
All three horses rolled in the mud.
I threw down a bunch of hay from the loft and Janet stacked it. So far we are in very good shape.
Around 11 I went to Wegmans and bought a ton of groceries. I wanted to make chicken and cashews for dinner.
I put the chicken and sauce in a crock pot and it was done before chores.
I will never understand why the horses enjoy standing in the rain. They were even more of a mess.
Little Wonder's black coat was wet too.
Dinner was so delicious. Served the cashew chicken on rice with a side of peas and my favorite....bananas.
At 6:15 we went down to the school as it was Senior Night for the Varsity Basketball Team.
A display was made for each player....Jenny made this one for Cooper.
Each senior was introduced with family members while a bio was read about them. Very sweet. Jenny, Heather, Gary and I went out with Cooper.
All the Moms were given a rose. Heather is on the right....Coop's girlfriend.
This was the display for Coop's friend Francis. So cool.
Cooper got in some playing time....
and Francis was a star all night long.
So glad we were there.
What an amazing game. The last time they played Pittsford-Sutherland they were hammered, and tonight they won with some serious gusto.
Night all.
An exciting night. High school basketball is fun to watch but honoring the seniors made it special. Glad to see they beat Pittsford this time around. Wegmans was packed today - all the super bowl shopping?? I was next door buying a new fry pan to make lemon chicken. Yours looks so good too, Kathy
ReplyDeleteI seriously would like the cashew chicken! Horses don't think like us, no matter how much we try to get them to. :) It looks like a fun evening at the school. Your grandson will soon be on a new adventure.
