We had some rain last night, but it was gorgeous much of the day until it started raining again when I went out to do evening chores.
Today I mowed the outdoor arena, which is filling in with grass, weeds and clover very slowly.
A little before noon I met Shaggy S. at Rohrbach Brewing Company for lunch. We went to the same High School and graduated in 1961. A couple years ago I discovered that she has been living in Rochester for the past 50 years and I never knew it. This is the second time we have met and may go to a class reunion (picnic) in July.
We both ordered Reubens and I have never had one better than this anywhere. The German potato salad was also superb. Catching up is always a good thing!
Took it easy when I got back to the farm. Little Wonder joined me.
The Rebel and his pony were wet before getting tucked in and one of them wanted to roll before going in for the night.
Gary has continued to help me with chores. We have it down to about 10 minutes at night.
He even scrubbed out the water trough before we went in.
Poached eggs for dinner.
Night all.
Your flowers are so pretty. Glad we got some rain today! My husband’s lunch today was a corned beef sandwich on rye from Main St Deli in Churchville and I got a turkey and slaw wrap. Last night we had poached eggs on English muffins with hollandaise sauce on them. How funny! You look healthy with your classmate so your pacemaker is doing it’s work. Kathy
ReplyDeleteMy outdoor arena is completely overtaken, but it's been 10 years since it's been an arena. Beautiful flowers, as usual. Happy four legged boys and a good two legged helper! it looks like you found the fountain of youth.
ReplyDeleteSeamus and his fringe, all he needs is " A surrey with the fringe on top" and he will have a twin !!! How wonderful to catch up with an old friends, and what a meal to share together.
ReplyDeleteKathy. We sure are on the same page with our recent meals! If we (or I) go out to lunch, there will be no regular dinner that night. Everyday I feel a little better and believe the pacemaker is doing it's job. I will be 79 in August and would love to get back in some kind of shape by then. Can't ride my trike for 4 more weeks.
