Still Above Freezing

Grey and fairly mild (37) today.

It was very misty when I went out to the barn.  At least it was not too cold for the ponies.
Check out the height of the stem on this elephant ear plant!  6 feet tall!  You can almost watch it grow.

I sure feel like a recluse after so many months under the influence of Covid.
It's the same routine most days.  Chores. Make the bed. Check on my computer.  Laundry. Lunch. Catch up on the latest news.  Start a fire. Hangout with my buddies.  Read....nap.  Cook.  Blah, blah, blah.

Today I made chicken soup (for another day).  Getting so many meals out of that chicken!
Also made some brownie cupcakes with walnuts.

For dinner, we had the leftover chicken and gravy on biscuits.  Meal number 3.  The soup will be good for a couple more meals and tomorrow I will make chicken salad....enough for two lunches.  Not bad for a 6 pound bird.
Now on to more of the same.
Night all.

  1. I feel the same as you with being a recluse. It’s much safer being home as I was out at a medical center today and it kinda made me nervous with so many people. I hope people practice smart sense this weekend with Bills parties and realize this will only make covid spread more. I intend to start a new jig saw puzzle to keep me occupied. Kathy

  2. I get it, but at least I can get to parks and places to get off the farm and away from the 4 walls for a bit.

Glad it warmed up for you!
