#7301 The Pause That Refreshes....

Loved having a cool day.  We did get a lot of rain last night and it was pretty grey today.  Looks like we are going to get a soaking over the next day or so

After chores I spent a couple hours mowing the lawn.  It was in the low 60s.

It won't be long before they start laying the pipe for the water line in front of our house.  I took this photo from the end of our driveway and expect they will be here by Friday.

Little Wonder does not like all the sounds from the loud equipment.  Earlier he went into a closet to hide.

The tomatoes on the porch are getting bigger...
and I picked cabbage, a zucchini, a pepper and some berries this afternoon.
Our friend, Tony Z., is in town and stopped by for some garlic.  Nice to catch up.

Around 5 Randy and Roz made a surprise visit and we sent them home with rhubarb, beets, mixed greens and a green cabbage.  Tomorrow I plan to make stuffed cabbage for dinner....the leaves are nice and big.  By the time they left it was 6:30 and we just had a simple meal.  Potato salad, roasted chicken and fruit.
What a pleasure not to have any fans going.
Night all.
