Gloomy, cold and lots of rain.

If the horses were going to be outside today, they needed some protection as they were going to get soaked and it was only in the 40s.
Since it was pouring when we went out to the barn, Little Wonder wore his red coat.

Of course he was happy to get inside.

We practiced today in the "music studio" and this time we were electrified and ready to see how that worked in this space.  Nancy, Lori and I want Tom and Doug to sing more and wonder if our name should be changed to "They Sing." They add such richness to our songs.

Is this modern upright bass cool or what????

Our group ranges in age from 64 to 78 and you can't imagine how much fun it is for us to get together and sing our brains out!  And we love all kinds of music.  Of course we are eternally learning....but that's ok.
Here are a few clips from our practice.

Little Wonder and I went out there at 1:30 and did not get back in the house until after 4:30.
He was very patient and "listened."

Company coming tomorrow so this morning Gary and I worked on the upstairs and I started making the first part of a German dinner (sweet and sour red cabbage) so I don't have so much to do tomorrow!  Dessert is going to be rhubarb shortcake!  Can't wait to see our friends that we met years ago as they were boating through the Erie Canal.  We've kept in touch all this time and have a lot of catching up to do!  They are getting ready to spend a couple months on the Canal this summer.
Berlin was so drenched by 5:30 I took off her blanket and put on some PJs for tonight while she's inside.
Rebel got the same.
I still have a little more work to do and my buddy needs some attention.
Night all.

  1. After so long apart it must be wonderful to sing and play together. Meeting up with long time friends, a delight for you tomorrow , and the meal sounds a delight to look forward to.

  2. That must have been so much fun after all of this time to get to sing in person together.
    It sounded pretty good too!

I can't recall the last time someone stayed over. Wait. I can. The beginning of February 2020.
We have a heavy frost this morning! Brrr! So glad I didn't go buy plants to put out!
