No wonder he had tears, and what he said was so true. Character, Kindness, Courtesy, This was the motto for my primary school way back in the 1940's, and those words are still true today, more so than ever before. With Kamala Harris by his side, Joe Biden will plan a new USA, not divided, equal for all races and gender, he has had such huge tragedy in his own life, understanding of loss will play a huge part from now on. My friends here in NZ are equally happy.
Nancy J. It's nice to know that you and your friends in NZ are happy for us. It has been a very long haul and now it is time to pull together with a President that cares about all.
I was elated when the election was finally called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. I cried during both of their speeches last night. I was even able to allow my child to watch them. It has been four long years since I've allowed my child to listen to our President. I truly hope we can start to bridge the divide in our country. It was nice to hear the President-elect say that he would be a President to all Americans. Combine that with understandable sentences, the delivery of a coherent message, no name calling, no conspiracy theories or "alternate facts," the embracing of science, two families on stage who were clearly loving families - well, it was a beautiful night.

ReplyDeleteWe will remember this. I’m so relieved that Joe Biden won. He will be a uniting factor for this divided country.

ReplyDeleteMy son and I talked last night about the celebrations all around the world. I love that Joe has said there IS no Blue and Red, but only Americans.
