Cooper's Birthday

 

Karen picked up a sample of the hay we are getting yesterday 

and I fed some to the horses this morning.  So green.... second cutting grass.

I spent part of the morning mowing the lawn.  It was very grey, but no rain.

The quartet was full of beans this afternoon.

Today's bounty.....

I made some pickled beets.

We went to dinner at Jen's to celebrate Coop's birthday. I made roasted red peppers with Greek olives, feta cheese and chives to serve on a grilled baguette.

Also brought a salad with beets, mandarin oranges, candied walnuts, onions and crumbly blu.

Coop ordered pizza and wings.

We headed home after an hour around a fire in the back yard.

The pups were happy to see us.
