Today.....paper work.
We filled out our absentee ballots for the primaries
and the budget vote for our school district.
Then, started working on our taxes!
We are so spoiled. They have been done for decades
by AARP volunteers and now the virus has shut that
service down. It's a good thing we have until July 15th
because we have a lot to figure out. Even with past returns
to look at, we are stymied in spots.
The rest of the day was uneventful.
Night all.
PS
After I posted on my Journal last night I got several messages that a horse was loose in our neck of the woods. I tracked down the owner and drove around trying to find her new mare. She had just gotten her....a big black Percheron cross. Sweet. Gentle. Anyway, I had no luck finding her. At
11:30 pm the phone rang and she called to tell me that she was found a little before that time 6 miles away from her home....at a farm called Stable 54. There are probably at least 20 horses there and she was drawn to them. Smart girl. The property owners discovered her when one of them went out the door to check on something. Of course many horse people in the area were on the alert and the owners phone number was posted. A very emotional moment for Sherri when she got the call. I would be a wreck if one of my horses was lost.
Last night the horse was fed and made comfortable and this morning she was trailerd back to her owner's farm. So glad there was a happy ending. Can't wait to meet them.
At times like this when friends known or unknown gather together and help each other, what goodness can follow a crisis. I cannot imagine the dread, and then the HUGE relief. Stable 54, what goodness there.
