White Outs...

What a morning!  You could ice skate on our driveway.

We had a high wind warning (55mph) so I put the pups back in the house
knowing I would have to prep all the stalls again.
When the horses were turned out, they punched through the
very crunchy snow.

I closed off the big pasture as there was too much ice.

When Gary got back from coffee he came out to the barn and helped
me finish up.   I decided to let the horses stay out a little longer and
went back in the house.
 Phoebe and
Little Wonder had a short stretch.
A little after 11:30 it started to snow.

Just before noon they were all tucked in their stalls,
happy to attack their hay nets.
I had to leave at 12:30 for a rehearsal with She Sings and there was no way I wanted them outside as the weather was getting worse.
We started off with our Bird song and worked on several others.
The entire ride home was pretty much through one gigantic white out.

The snow is piling up and it will actually be safer than walking on ice.

Time to get out by the fire.
Night all.

  1. Tuesday we had a lot of snow then the ice storm followed. So there's a nice icy crust on top that's slippery. Even the dogs were sliding around. But everyone made it into the barn safe and sound. Hope you clear up soon and the sun comes out and melts everything.
