A Cold Morning and an Afternoon Warm Up (36 Degrees)

Both dogs were able to join me this morning when I did chores.  Quite an improvement
but we did have some pretty strong winds.

Gary got home from Java just when we were going back to the house.
Of course he had to park the van as Little Wonder and Phoebe wanted to greet him.
 LW was zooming....

I restrung my ukulele this afternoon and practiced a couple of songs.
Whenever I put on new strings it takes a long time for them to stay
tight and I have to keep tightening them.
I must admit that it sounds much better.

At 3 we drove down to the Village to attend a winter
picnic along the canal!  Duane B. outdid himself with a beautiful
pulled pork BBQ and shared it with many......

Much of the time people were outside, near a fire pit where they could make s'mores.
You could also go inside Duane's building, which was not heated as it has not
been used for over a year.  We had to wear our coats, but it was much warmer
than it was outside and he did a nice job preparing the space for us.
Of course my partner in crime was there.
On January 31st we went to our caucus and
were designated to run once again for Town Board.
Get ready!

I had chore duty tonight so we left around 4:30.
How about this snowman we passed on Main Street.
It must be 6 or 7 feet tall and I love the stick fence!
It sure is staying light a lot longer now.

Tucked Rebel and the girls in for the night....

don't have to make dinner, and am ready to go out by the fire.
Night all.

  1. Busy day as usual. My dogs are the same when my husband comes home. I have to let them out to greet him or they go crazy by the doors. A winter picnic is different. Good to hear you could get inside for a while though.

  2. Looks like a picnic in winter is fine, just wear a whole lot more clothes, down jacket, hat, gloves, and extra warm boots.
