Heavy Wet Snow 6-8 Inches

Before going out to the barn, I had to shovel a path to the gate.
Not my idea of a good time.
Gary was on his way home from spending the past four days in Bethesda
and the snow blower was not ready to be used.
In order to get the wheelbarrow in and out of the barn I had to shovel from the gate
to the overhang, around the water trough and over to the other run-in.
These photos don't tell the whole story.....

As per usual, the horses wanted to roll in the first snow.

I did not go anywhere, just did a few things when we got back to the house.

I did have a great lunch!  Chicken salad with some crackers.

In the afternoon I did just a little more shoveling,

and then, made a pot of sauce.
We have not had spags in ages.
Gary's home, the snow blower won't start, we have a nice fire going
and dinner was delicious.
We'll have to figure out the driveway tomorrow.
Night all.

  1. We had a few inches of wet snow too. Of course, a new washing machine and dryer were being delivered. So paths to the doors needed to be cleared. The horses love the first snow here too. For me I could have waited until Christmas at least!

  2. About the same weather here - Gary was in my neck of the woods, we're west of Bethesda, but he knows that it was a mess here. Glad you're all tucked in, and your day ended with the perfect dinner.
