Helen Macdonald Told Us Three Stories....

After chores we cleaned the house and got ready for tonight's dinner party.
Gary picked some carrots....
and this was the biggest one we have ever grown!!!!!
Way over a foot long.
He also picked a bowl of raspberries
 and cherry tomatoes.
Helen had some stories to tell and we were going to do that before we ate.
 She is such a pro!!!!
Chef Skoog finished grilling the pork tenderloin just in time.

 This was no ordinary evening!
I don't know too many story tellers.  Helen had us hooked from the beginning.

 The meat was perfect.
Judy made a huge crock pot of rice...
 The chutney turned out great...
and the carrots from the garden were sweet.
Adams bread was the usual....off the charts.
I made the salads.  Romaine, pickled beets, mandarin oranges, crumbly blue
and a delicious vinigarette dressing.
Ulpi brought his famous fruit salad and we all indulged.

Carol made a fruit cobbler and we were finally stuffed!
It was so nice of Andrea to get here in time for dinner!
We always enjoy her company, especially when Helen is visiting from Scotland.
By the time everyone left....
Little Wonder
 and Phoebe were exhausted!
Night all.

  1. So nice to get together for stories and dinner with friends! That is one giant carrot. Never saw one that big.
