First of all! Happy Mother's Day to Stephanie, Jennifer and all the Moms I know.
The temperature was right up my alley all day long.
Karen and I switched chores, but it did not take me long to finish everything.
Once again the girls had to be locked out of the front paddock, as there was a little more roofing to be finished on their barn.
Mike, the man making all the improvements, has done a fine job.
Gary continued painting the picket fence near the Studio and also got
into some serious gardening.
I've discovered that the hibiscus blossoms only last a couple of days.
By tomorrow this one will probably be on the way out.
At 1pm I was in my chair at the Sunday Jam.
We had such a good time today. Normally I am not that comfortable soloing,
but I was so inspired by the concert last night I sang two songs. An old Doo Wop favorite..."Goodnight Sweetheart" and then I went wild with "Johnny Be Good."
One of my baritone Uke pals likes blues and that song has the three main blues chords so I tried it. What a riot!
Below is a song by Roseanne M. who has been in Florida for months. We were very
happy to have her back.
When I got back to the farm the lift was moved behind the barn on the left so Mike could replace a section by the peak that blew out a year ago March. Way to high for any ladder to reach and he was able to get the job done.
The horses ignored the entire procedure and did not go near him.
By 7:15 everything was done and I did not make dinner.
We split a Turkey Reuben Balboa from Barber's
and while I was picking it up, Linda and Mark K. were there and
sent me home with cookies she had made! Bonus time.
The sun is going down.
Night all.
Happy Mothers Day! Rained all day here but still had a nice day. Your roof is looking good.
ReplyDeleteYour day was a good way to end and start a week! Glad the weather cooperated!

Can you tell us the name of those amazing orange flowers you have on your masthead? I've never seen any like it in real life here in California.
