Waiting for the weather to change.
So windy this morning it's a good thing the girls had their blankets on.
The stalls looked great with all the shredded paper.
Why is there so much wind all the time?
At 11 am I was down at the Lodge in the Park for the Grand Opening.
Everyone was invited to a lunch prepared by Jimmy Z.
Garbage plates! Delicious.
The place was packed and everyone was impressed with the building.
We already received 36 rental reservations.
The Supervisor had a long list of people to thank and the Town received many certificates from Senator Ortt, Stephen Hawley, Mike Rockow and more.
I had evening chore duty. By then it was really cold and we still had heavy winds.
The girls were more than happy to get tucked in for the night.
Just as predicted, around 7pm we started getting freezing rain.
At 7:30 we left for a Kiwanis fundraiser at Deerfield Country Club.
One of our favorite bands was there.
Ruby Schooz.
Fortunately the weather was not so bad it had to be cancelled.
They served great sliders and veggies along with all kinds of cakes and cookies
The fun part of this band....everyone sang along with them.
Great oldies.
We love to dance and there are not all that many opportunities.
It was almost 11 when we got back to the farm.
The roads were pretty bad and the worst is yet to come.
Night all.
This was one busy day.
" My Girl" perfect for dancing. and bad weather again, hope it is safe on your roads tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteA very busy day! But lots of fun dancing. We’re in for your weather today. Very windy out there this morning, cold and snow is coming again. Hard to believe in April!
ReplyDeleteWe've had nasty weather since Friday. I'm glad that I didn't have to drive anywhere in it. The winds were nasty yesterday and dangerous. Today it is still snowing and sleeting but the trees are not doing the hula.
ReplyDeleteIt will be mud season again by next week.
What a great band, I enjoyed all your video clips.
