Pony Time...

This morning it was over 40 when I headed out to the barn, supposedly going
up to 50!  So what did I do?  Gave the girls a break from their blankets.
A little premature, as it never warmed up and it remained grey and ugly all day.

At 1:30 I brought Abbe and Berlin into the grooming room as the farrier was to
arrive at 2.  So I groomed and groomed and at 2:45 gave up waiting and turned them back out.  Within 30 seconds Josh arrived and I had to retrieve the girls....again.
Needless to say they were up to their knees in mud.

 Their feet look great.
As you can see, it's a mudhole with ponding.

I got back in with enough time to make a decent dinner.
Carrot/apple/walnut/craisin salad
country ribs with caramelized carrots and onions
 and baked potatoes.
Now I'm headed for a hot shower and some pjs.
Can't get warm...and I am still coughing!
On the other hand, I did sleep for 6 hours straight last night.
Over and out.

  1. They must have loved rolling after getting their blankets off. Mine love it too. They must get itch under them. Sleep well, feel better.
