Keep That Sunshine Comin'

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Still waiting for this polar freeze to take a hike....and it's going to be awhile.

It takes me so much longer to do chores in the winter.
I did not get in the house until about 10:15 this morning.

At noon Gary and I went down to Carol Gs for a New Years Day Brunch.
 Great company and

quite a spread!  Southern cooking at it's finest.

We got back to the farm around 3 and crashed.
Daniela went ice skating with Jenny, Scott and Cooper, Gary took a nap
 and so did his buddies.

Around 4 I started a fire and got back to my book.
No fancy dinner tonight....Daniela and I had paninis and chips...
Gary had French toast.

Now we are going to find a nice movie on Netflix or Amazon and get comfy.
Night all.

  2. This frigid weather is getting old here too with no end in sight. Ugh. A fire and a good book is the best idea. Happy New Year πŸŽŠπŸŽ†πŸŽˆ

  3. Snow, we need cool, please send some down here! 31C and rising at midday. Are your roads ploughed? ( plowed ) free so you can drive safely? And do you have to change and put snow tyres on? This is huge compared with our winters here, even in the far south, where some roads are closed for days on end.

  4. Cold here too, and it's not going anywhere anytime soon for us either. But that spread and fun company is certainly worth coming in or going out for!

Stay warm - Good advice for both of us!!

  5. The cold is tough, everything seems to take so much longer to do as far as chores go, but I feel so satisfied at the end of the day to wrap up with a blanket and Mr. Morris and read a book.
    Happy New Year
