A Good Grooming...

It poured for awhile last night, then we had a little snow.
The front paddock was a mess.

I had to really get crackin' this morning as the dogs had to be at the groomers by 8am.
Fortunately I managed to get out to the barn early and was able to get the horses fed
and stalls cleaned before we left.

On the way home I stopped at Java as Gary said he would buy me breakfast.  I am seldom, if ever, able to do this because it's chore time.
I picked up Little Wonder and Phoebe at 11:30.
They looked great and both were given good reports.

We still have squash left from the garden so I decided to make a pot of soup.
(onions/apples/squash)
After that I planned to start a new book and only got through about 5 pages before falling asleep.

The soup turned out well and
I was not in the mood to make a salad, so we had deviled eggs, carrots,
cheese and crackers on the side.
 Grapes too.

 A very cozy evening.
Night all.

  3. Dear Lori, once again I've been away from blogging because of illness. But I'm must better now and so I'm enjoying catching up with all my blogging friends--like you. I still think of the book you and I e-mailed about. I'm thinking and one day I'll get in touch about it.

That soup looked delicious. I so enjoy squash. Peace.

  4. I've always wanted to try squash soup, just haven't had the nerve to do it yet.
