Caledonia

I really over indulged today.

While I finished chores, Gary worked on the garlic
and tomorrow he will put his sign out to start selling it.
The seed stock usually gets shipped to other garlic growers
and the table stock is usually purchased by locals.
 It really looks good.
Around 10:30, our friend Judy stopped up with an anniversary present. Our 50th!
She brought two boxes of spectacular chocolates that are going to be hard to resist.
(Fortunately Cooper helped us out in that department).
Anyway, she was not busy and we decided to run a couple of errands and go out to lunch.
We picked Mangia, Mangia in Spencerport...I had never been there.
Both of us ordered parmigiana sandwiches and a side salad with white balsamic dressing.
The sandwiches were so huge I had to take part of it home to Gary.
Everything was delicious and I would go back there again.

We have an abundance of cone flowers this year, and they are loving this weather.

Yesterday Federal Express dropped off a huge box with no return address or note on it.
A spectacular chaise, which I later found out was a gift from Stephanie and family.
This afternoon I tried it out and fell asleep in minutes.

Gary took a turn on it too.
Tonight we were invited to go out to dinner with Jenny, Scott, Finn and Coop.
We chose The Village Inn in Caledonia.

We love this place for it's atmosphere, food and service.

Jen and Finn ordered Chicken French, Scott had Pumpkin Ravoli, Coop had a Strip Steak, Gar order the special...A Ribeye topped with blue cheese and I had a Pork Loin with an amazing apple gravy.
Every single thing was off the charts!

Coop said he would give this place a 6 Star rating!

Caledonia is a very sweet little Village...
 with antique shops

 gorgeous architecture

 and a beautiful roundabout.

A perfect way to celebrate.
Thank you Jenny and Scott!
Home by 9 and ready to crash.
Night all.

  5. I was at the Farmer's Market on Saturday and took in a great deal of interest when the gent who was selling his different garlics was talking. A woman came by and bought all of the garlic flowers??? She will dry them and use them in flower arrangements that she sells.
    Happy Anniversary!
