85 Ukuleles on the Colonial Belle!

I woke up to thunder, lightning and another monsoon.
Once again we had a lot of rain in a short time.

My friend Mary Pat was in town and stopped up around 10.
We not only caught up, we went out to lunch.  So good to see her.
I did absolutely nothing productive today,
but I did manage to have one heck of a good time tonight.
Bernunzio's set up a cruise on the Colonial Belle for uke players...80 of us.
I arrived at Packett's Landing in Fairport around 6:30 and we were to board at 7.
There were many gorgeous boats docked there for the night.

We were supposed to be on the upper deck, but more rain was approaching and we were all seated below.  The Rochester Ukulele Orchestra sat in the front and led us through at least 20 songs.
I sat with my friends, Fred and Danette and we were way in the back.

Another friend was there!  Lisa Chapman joined some of her uke pals and was game
to give it a try.  What a nice surprise.
Shortly after we got started, there was the first of many downpours.
Did not stop the crew from working out!

I was on my way home by 9:30.
The expressway looked like this!

Night all.

  2. Oh how I love the ukulele cruise! I'm going to tell my ukulele group about it and maybe we can do something like it in California.
