Amazing...the impact the sun can have on your brain.
This morning there was still snow on the ground but I knew it would not last long.
Once again I chose to put the hay in the small grass paddock as it had the least standing water.
The "pond" was still pretty big, covered with a thin layer of ice.
Sid found his usual spot for much of the day.
Gary fell asleep reading and I can't believe he did not drop his book.
We spent a quiet afternoon.
I had evening chore duty (Karen is on her way back from Florida).
By that time, all the snow was gone and the pond started to recede.
The moon was already out.
At 7:30 we went over to the Elks Club for a Kiwanis fund raiser.
Once again Ruby Schooz was performing.
We sat with friends and knew the words (and sang) to every song.
Jenny even joined us and we danced a lot.
A very nice way to spend the evening....especially when the band was so good.
When we left, the moon looked a lot different than it did this afternoon.
Night all.
Great music, dancing and singing. Love those older tunes, REAL music ( at least to my ears !!).
