Just can't sleep when the sun is up.
Long before morning chores I was out taking photos of the iris, and
even used two different cameras to see if it would make a difference.
It was cool enough that I needed to wear a sweatshirt...loved it.
Gary continued to plant onions, and has decided to give away at least 300 sets.
He's running out of gas.
Elliott was here for the third Saturday in a row, helping with the gardens. Most of the sticky weeds are now gone and the hosta garden has reappeared.
They worked together to create a teepee for the pole beans.
I had a chance to read my current book and did not fall asleep.
At 4 we went to Mel and Helen's for a cookout.
This is their dog Bellini....even tho he has had many problems, he is still hanging in there.
I've shown you many photos of him in the past. Such a sweet boy.
We sat out on the back porch....the Melnicks were there too and we had some very interesting conversations along with a lot of laughs.
It was all about those Nathan's hot dogs, good food and good company.
I had chore duty tonight, so we were back at the farm by 7:30.
Now I'm so tired I can't keep my eyes open.
Night all.
I'm up at 5:30 myself these days. Not by choice the pup is an early riser! Love your iris plants just beautiful. Glad Gary had a little help, that's a lot of plants to get in.
ReplyDeleteToo many onions and garlic plants maybe!! Your Iris are beautiful, I find it hard to imagine daylight so early, we are still very dark at 7 a.m. now.
