A crispy and bright start to the day.
The horses are so spoiled. They have this run-in and seldom go in it.
It's right next to their stalls.
East of the back pasture, there is a lot of activity going on. Looks like the basement of the new house is almost finished.
We are surrounded by mountains of dirt all along the driveway.
Seeing that I did not have jury duty I was as free as a bird.
My friend Terry and I decided to drive in to Stutzman's to get straps for our baritone ukes.
It was sunny and a perfect day to play.
On the way home we stopped at a hot dog joint for lunch. Like going to a picnic.
When Gary got home from work, he managed to get our hand mower started so he could attack our back yard. The grass was longer that what we would have in our pastures.
At the moment, this area is looking pretty ugly, but we will get there.
The girls were enjoying the afternoon sun, but it really did not warm up.
Dinner was easy. Leftover cabbage soup (better than the first time).
I topped it off with a splash of vinegar...
broiled some of Chet's bread, and cut up some cheese and apples.
We had a Town Board meeting tonight.
On the way, I had to pull off the road and take a few shots of the sunset.
Back at the ranch.
Night all.
It's nice to have a free day once in a while. Glad you enjoyed it. Our horses don't go in the run in sheds either except in summer to get away from the bugs. The subset was pretty.
