Before The Crack Of Dawn

I am so tired!
This morning I had to get up at 5:45 so I could do chores (Gary helped) and get in to Rochester by 8am to see if I was going to get picked for jury duty.

Fortunately the weather was not outrageous and the girls could be out all day.

At any rate, I was picked to serve and that is all I can say about it.
Jen picked me up at 11 and we went out for an early lunch in the South Wedge.
It was a New York deli kind of place called "Harry G's" and was recommended to her by
one of her co-workers.  I ordered a chicken salad sub and she got a turkey reuben.
No way, could one person eat the sub.  It was enough for two or more and I brought half of it home for Gary to try.

Rochester sure has a lot of interesting neighborhoods.
Corn Hill is very popular and this section is right on the banks of the Genesee River.

We were dismissed early and I was home a little after 2.
Dinner was the remains from lunch, tomato soup and cottage cheese topped with peaches.

Gary started a fire, and that was it for me.  Could not keep my eyes open.
Time for a cat nap.
Night all.

  1. So sorry you were picked for jury duty! That is so annoying! Rochester is a wonderful city. Haven't been there for ages.

  2. I was up at 5:45 as well; had an early meeting 1 1/2 hrs away. Left home at 6:10 am and got home at 7pm. Ugh. I'm beat. A cat nap by the fire sounds like heaven.

  3. I don't know how you're going to fit jury duty into your busy days. Good luck. I hope it's a short trial.
