Slammed!

It started snowing sometime after midnight and did not slow down until late afternoon.

Fortunately the temperature made it to 32 degrees and the girls spent the day outside.
They had all kinds of options for hay....and more hay.
Lucky for us, the snowblower started and Gary had to
 clean out the driveway twice.

Needless to say, we stayed put today.  I was outside from 7:30 to 11:30 and had to change my gloves and jackets twice.

Phoebe and Gucci like to run around after the driveway has been cleared.

We got about 18 inches of snow and so did Rochester.  Because the snow was greasy, cars and semis were stuck all over the place and they had to close the expressway for several hours.  People were not able to move until they could get in there with plows and tow trucks.

It felt good to hang out in a cozy house.
A chili day, so I made a big batch.
Just before Karen arrived, the horses were hanging out in the outdoor arena....right
where the snow was the deepest.  I don't get it.

Of course we had a fire going most of the day.
 A simple supper.
Chili, Johnny Cake and a salad.
Tomorrow things should settle down.
Night all.

  2. Goodness! We will be in a warming trend now and the snow will be melting! Hopefully I can be in the right place at the right time for a good snow melt ... run off!
Oh, hubby did take a snap of me in regular people dress up clothes. I will have to show it off!
