Finally!

Even tho we don't have snow, I take hay out to the paddock on a plastic sled.
 Works like a charm.
As soon as it was loaded, Seymour thought it was a great place to hang out.

 Grey all day.
Karen rode Angel....
and after many months of doing everything else but.....
 I rode Berlin.
I've had all kinds of excuses....campaigning, she's 30 years old with a sunken back,
can she still handle being ridden....blah, blah, blah.
I wondered if she would behave when I got on, as it really has been 7 or 8 months.
Because she is her very sweet self, she was absolutely terrific.  It helped that Karen was
also riding.  Berlin was jiggy at the beginning and wanted to trot trot trot, but eventually I was able to ride her on the buckle.  She did not seem to be bothered by it at all.  Karen took more photos, but I could not believe my leg position (way to forward) so you can't see them.  Must admit that it felt great to be back in the saddle.
Fortunately I have a good Mattes pad and I filled in her lowest spot with shims.
When we were finished, she was still full of beans.

At 1 I arrived at A Different Path Gallery to participate in the Sunday jam session, and
brought my guitar and the ukulele.  My friend Terry joined us for the first time and we
really enjoyed it.  I still have a very long way to go, but each week I learn something.
When they sing new songs, I write down the titles and chords so I can get the lyrics
on line with the chords (which I diagram). My book is growing.

Called the girls in for dinner a little before dark.

Speaking of dinner....we had spectacular salads tonight.
Romaine, pears, craisins, candied walnuts, feta cheese...
topped with a scoop of turkey salad (turkey, celery,
apple and grapes).  So good.
It was warmish today, but we did not see the sun.
Tomorrow we should be in the mid 60s and could have snow by next weekend.
Night all.

  2. Good for you riding! We had rain and hail today; chance of snow tonight (just flurries) so no riding for me.
