Ponies and Politics

Did you have snow this morning?

Gary was up and out by 7am.
After chores I made arrangements to meet with Annie and Mary to make sure we are up to speed on a few things and at 1pm we got together at Mary's.  Her husband Adam is a BIG SHOWOFF in the cooking and baking department and he produced the all time best savory roll I have ever experienced.  The recipe is forthcoming!  He is the grand master!
After indulging, we went out and knocked on a few doors.
It was nice to be so well received.
Tina, do you recognize this place?
I did not get home until after 4:30, and before I knew it, it was time to do evening chores.
We started off in the 30s, and are back in the 30s as I am writing this.

Maggie and Angel have their sheets on as we are supposed to get down into the 20s tonight.

Tucked the girls in and am finally making something to eat.
Night all.

PS
Remember me writing about what a pain in the butt it is to keep track of political signs?
Well it is a never ending problem.  Today when I drove down my road, two of ours were missing.  In the village, students get blamed for stealing or destroying them.  Well, out here in the boonies, there are not too many college students...in fact, they are on break for a few days.  Ummmmmmm.
Who do you suppose is taking them?  Not only that, our opponents are making a big issue about signs in general.  There are codes that are supposed to be followed as to when you can put them up (before an election) and how many you may have.  Oddly enough, up to now....the rules are different for the Town and the Village.  Our race includes all of the people in both.  Personally, I could care less how many signs are on a property, as long as it is the same for everyone.  We have been accused of all kinds of things.  If the rules (written locally back in the 80s) were to be followed, some think it goes against the first amendment and our opponents are saying that we want to strip people of their rights!  What the heck happened to a level playing field?  We don't care how many signs are on the properties.  All these codes need to be revisited.
 Time is flying!
Before you know it, the election will be over.
Our Town really needs to have a two party system.

  2. I think the sign stealing is ridiculous and immature. The signs should be allowed as long as they are removed after the elections.
Yesterday, we had a snow flurry for a few minutes and then a hail storm then the sun came out. Freezing overnight and this morning too.
