Cherries

Took an inventory of the hay this morning and hope I have enough until 2nd cutting is ready.
All the rain has kept the farmers from baling their 1st.

Once again the girls preferred the indoor over the pasture....bugs I imagine.

At 10:15 I took Gucci and Phoebe down to the Brockport Animal Hospital to get their heartworm tests.  There was a puppy there that was a major cutie.  Half chihuahua half pomeranian.
 His name is Monte.
Ironically, the temperature was in the low 60s today.  We are on some kind of merry-go-round.
Gary is through with his job at Sara's and spent much of the day in the gardens.  For the first time, deer are going after a couple things....like beans and hostas.
This is the first year we have had a decent crop of cherries.  Our two trees are young and we do not spray them.  They are delicious!

 Defrosted some soup for dinner...
made a salad with the spinach from our garden and got out the pumpernickel bread.
 Chores at 7:45.

Put up a few wire fence sections next to the garden to try and protect it from the critters.
 The cabbage is beautiful.

Night all.

  3. Cherries are AMAZING here this year!
Your garden looks great. I wish I had a husband who gardened. I am always deterred at the thought of heavy digging work. Oh well.
