This morning the rains came....just like they said.
The girls did not care and went out to the pasture.
Heavy winds were roaring last night and knocked some of the daffs down, so I picked several and will put them in the studio tomorrow morning.
Ran a couple of errands and layed low the rest of the afternoon. Gary worked at Sara's, then had Finn and Coop duty. We met at 5 down at the Stoneyard for wings. Ten for $3.50. Such a deal!
On the way to Brockport, the sky turned black and we had a monsoon rain that was so bad I could hardly see 10 feet in front of me. Fortunately, Karen was available to get up to the farm and tucked the girls in. Of course they were wet! The temp in the barn was 56 so I'm sure they were comfortable.
The boys brought along one of their neighbors, who had one heck of an appetite and a large side of energy!
Jenny arrived from Rochester at 5:20 and since we had already ordered, the wait for food was short.
We were all starving.
Left around six and the sky was still pretty dark to the west.
A short time after we got home, it poured again.
Sophie was hunkered down on the porch.
Let's see what tomorrow brings. It is now 61 degrees.
Night all.
We had a flight cancelled yesterday due to all the bad weather up and down the East coast. Rrrrrrrrrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a much nicer day. Those storms looked pretty frightening!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow/sleet flurries this morning and temps at 33.
Two days ago it was almost 80!
