Everything seemed a little off from morning 'til night. Nothing great to report.
It was another grey, ugly and muddy day.
It looked like this for about 10 minutes.
After chores I went down to Country Max two times, to pick up shavings that were on sale. Each trip I stuffed 10 bags into my Escape....(truck ha ha). I really prefer using pellets (soaked and fluffed up) but could not resist the price of these.
Ate lunch, grabbed a shower and went down to drumming. Did not make it the last two weeks and should have stayed home today. Just not into it.
Stopped at Weggies on the way home and when I got back to the farm it was time to feed the girls. They are filthy again...blankets and all.
Gary was kind enough to frame in the base of the shed roof that goes into the indoor today. He must have brought in 15 wheelbarrows of dirt from the neighbors pile. I've been concerned about all the water that has been settling there and don't want it to go inside the building. What a great improvement. We have had quite a bit of rain lately and the paddock is very squishy.
Earlier I made some yellow split pea soup, so that was all set for dinner.
Served it with a nice salad and a delicious roll.
The fire is going in the kitchen and I think I finally have run out of gas.
Have not stopped since July.
Night all.
I have managed to make friends with someone who has twenty five horses and I get to ride again! For the first time since I moved to Canada, I am so so excited!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy these next few days til that raw Canadian weather shift comes blowing through. Pea soup is a favorite of mine. After a big ham gotta go for soup.
