What a Day!

Not very pretty out there this morning.
Stayed ugmo most of the day.

After chores I spent the rest of the morning cleaning the house and preparing for a drumming practice and dinner.
This is corn bread (with corn and roasted red peppers).
When that was done I baked a Mexican Fruit cake....lots of walnuts and pineapple.
Gary picked flowers for the table.

I ordered pulled pork from a local restaurant, but made all the rest myself.
Of course we had to have coleslaw.
Homemade croutons to go with the green salad.
 A few snack items.

 By 1pm the crew arrived.

Khalid has definitely kicked us up a notch.

A little after 4 we had dinner.
Pulled pork, coleslaw, corn bread, green salad, pickled beets, baked beans and much more.
Made Khalid a special pasta dish.
What a meal!  Don't you love coleslaw on top of pulled pork?
 Cake for dessert...
 Then we jabbered until 7:45.
Gary not only picked raspberries for us, he did all the dishes!
Night all.

  1. The food all looks delish! Especially that corn bread. Re Jackson: unfortunately, he won't touch beet pulp. He's an extremely picky eater. He loves hay and not much else,
