I just had to start with this photo for thecrazysheeplady who is sweating down there in Kentucky.
Saw it today on FB.
Another muggy day with a heat advisory. Fortunately we had a strong breeze and it did not get as hot as expected. When I got out to the barn this morning I had Karen check out the hay that was delivered yesterday...then we got busy cleaning stalls.
By 8:15 I was mowing the two grass paddocks....
and the far back pasture. Didn't get finished, but will do more tomorrow. It looks so much better.
Had just enough time to catch a shower before class started.
Two new students today. Look forward to working with them....they will fit right in.
After class Sandy, Donna and Tina picked some spinach. We love to share our garden with friends.
This sweet bird was a gift from Sandy of the Manatee. Love it!
Gary spent some time cleaning gutters and working in the gardens. Also worked upstairs in preparation for our granddaughters, who will be arriving tomorrow.
Chores at 7.
Fortunately there was a good breeze blowing straight into the barn.
We got a tip from Sandy (of the Manatee) that another boat was in Brockport from Ohio. We went down to meet them, but they were not there.
So we went over to the Stoneyard and had dinner (only remembered to take a picture of the salad).
Ran into our friend Bill and ended up talking for a long time.
By the time we left it was gorgeous outside...quiet and peaceful.
As soon as we got back to the farm the dogs wanted to get out of the house so while I babysat, tried taking pictures with just the porch light and no flash.
Too tired to keep playing with it.
Night all.
So much good Summer stuff here!
