The Election Inspector

Gary had to be up at 4am so he could be at his post as an election inspector by 5am.  Last night he actually made that apple dessert I tried the other day.  It turned out better than mine and I'm sure it will be all gone by the time he comes home after 9:30pm.  What a long day.
Karen and I were in the barn a little before 7:30.

Before we were finished with chores, the soy fields were quickly being harvested.

Each swipe was 35 feet wide.

This ratty little fox ran right in front of me when he got chased out of the field.

 Class at 10:30.

I don't know how Jean dreams up all these textures.
Lais continued to work on her collages.  I love this one.
Tina has started on another dog in colored pencil.

After lunch I went down to vote.  That's where Gary had EI duty.

Ran a few errands and switched pastures when I got home.

Tucked the girls in before dark.

Wormed all of them this morning and did not give Berlin any dex.  She was covered with hives by this evening so I gave her some.  This is getting to be a real drag....poor girl.

Earlier I made some 16 bean soup and....
sweet and sour red cabbage for dinner tomorrow night.  Company is coming and we are going to make the Knockwurst and sausage we got when we went to the Swan Market.
Time for a shower.
Night all.

  4. I love the textures in the artwork you posted.

I doodle like that a lot when I am stuck in a post in the middle of the night and need to keep my mind occupied!

  5. I am sorry to have to criticise, Lori; but I do think you might have found a spotty blanket rather than a striped one for that spotty pony of yours. She'll be feeling thoroughly mixed'up!

  7. That really is a neat collage. Still looks like fall around there. The soup sounds great this time of year!

  8. I signed up for a painting class, but there weren't enough other folks so it was cancelled :((
Maybe I'll just have to come up there for classes ;-)

It sounds like you had a busy day... as always!
