The day started out grey as usual....
The three girls spent some time together...Moon has some pretty good body language and I'm quite certain she can take care of her little self.
Lorrie had to leave early, so Moon went to her run-in before 9.
According to the weatherman, the sun was to appear later in the day.
But it couldn't wait...
and arrived mid morning. Gorgeous!
Most of the grass should show by tomorrow...it will take awhile for the snow piles to melt.
Had to do evening chores very early as we had to be on stage at 5pm sharp. Our chorus had a performance at the Hochstein School of Music and Dance in Rochester, and we had to rehearse first.
What a spectacular venue.
While we were waiting, Greg played a little jazz on a ginormous grand piano. I could listen to that kind of music all day.
There were some solos as well as performances by The Hochstein Singers and The Hochstein Youth Singers. All were outstanding.
Below are the Youth Singers...above are the older kids. Lots of talent.
After we sang two songs on our own, we were joined by both of the groups mentioned above and sang three songs together. There must have been 80 of us and it moved our director to tears.
A very good experience in a very professional setting.
Looking forward to the warm weekend coming up.
Night all.
Beautiful performance - love when it's all ages together. . .
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a great performance! Oh isn't it wonderful to see spring on its way?
ReplyDeleteLooks like Moon is getting along quite nicely!
ReplyDeleteYesterday I fell asleep in the grass with Dixie ... in the sun. I was wearing coveralls.
We were surrounded by snow, but slept in a bare spot in the yard.
This morning I had pink cheeks!
I guess I got slightly sunburned!
Have a great weekend.
I love experiencing youth doing something constructive and creating beauty. And yes, what a beautiful spot for music!
ReplyDeleteIt is snow here.... the wind is howling. Snow is sifting in through our back door. Ugh!
Once again a beautiful post showing such gorgeous photos and such a greatly fulfilling life ...make me sigh so lovely. I always look forward to reading your blog.
