It's Pony Time....

Moon had a good night in her new stall and after breakfast Lorrie led her over to the run-in.
She is such a sweet and cooperative girl....no calling out, no acting nervous.
Of course the girls had to pay her visits all day long.  By the way, it was in the low 20s today...

A very weird thing happened last night.  Our neighbor two doors to the North called and wondered what was going on in the house next to us at 2:30am.  A police and a fire truck had their lights shining all over the place in front of the house between us.  It sure didn't wake me up (and Fran had no idea it happened either).  Today the sheriff appeared and said someone got in an accident and ended up in our front lawn.  Gary had left at 6am for a conference and I did not even notice the tire tracks until I was told what happened.  Fortunately pictures were taken of the seen...beer bottles, junk, blood.
The two boys below showed up at the door to see if they could clean up the debris....it was their friend who was in the accident.  Supposedly, an insurance man will be showing up regarding damage to our lawn.  Who knows.
I ran several errands before drumming.  There were quite a few people there today and as the afternoon wore on, Khalid had us going about 90 miles per hour.  I'll have sore arms tonight.

Unloaded the groceries when I got back to the farm and it was time to go out for evening chores.
I prepared the grain and put it and the water buckets in the stalls.  Abbe and Berlin went to there's and I walked over to get Moon.
Let her have the run of the place and within 20 seconds she found the way to her stall without me.
Cool as a cucumber and so smart!

Now there are three...

and they all seem very content.  In the morning, maybe we will put Moon on a lead and have her join Abbe and Berlin in the Paddock for a little while.  So far, so good.

Night all.

  1. Hi Lori, Moon is absolutely adorable! She reminds me of Pippi Longstocking's horse. I don't know why except that it was one of my very fond memories of all the Pippi books that I read when I was younger.

  4. It's amazing how horses interact with each other. I could sit for hours on our viewing stand with a glass of wine, (or maybe two), and watch our heard. People could learn so much from them; and they are usually smarter than most people.

  5. Moon is adjusting so nicely. What a sweetie.
I'm surprised the pups didn't hear the disturbance and sound the alarm.

  7. Is Moon a POA?
    She is adorable.
I'm looking to downsize to pony sized mules and horses as it is not so far to swing my legs!

Wow. An accident? Looks like alcohol was in use?
Hope all turns out well for them.

Sunshine is pony sized and Siera is just a bit taller.

  8. Moon is pretty! My lady loves spotted horses! I'm sorry there was an accident at your home. Young people sometimes don't understand that they are mortal.

  10. That was so very nice of those young men to offer to clean up from the accident. Moon is a beauty, just like your other two.
