Sunday Stills Challenge....Old Barns

We live in an old farm house that was built in 1823 and two of our barns are well over 100 years old.
Here they are in all seasons.

They are not fancy, but I sure do appreciate them.

  2. Excellent photos. I see your barn serves a dual purpose....love the basketball hoop. My fave is the one framed with the vines/lights...great shot.

  5. Love each and every photo! As you know by now, I simply LOVE your barns! The fact that they are over 100 years old, I'd love to know their history ... who built them etc. Thanks for my barn "fix" at your wonderful farm!

  10. They don't have to be fancy. Old barns are magnificent right down to their 'bones'! I can't get enough of looking at them. I take countryside drives sometimes just to see what old barns i can find. I feel so connected to our agricultural worker ancestors when i see these barns. So much character they have and soooo much labor went into building them and their upkeep! :)

  11. That photo of the barn framed by the arch is one of my all-time favorite photos. It sounds trite, but it speaks to me.
