Where is the Kleenex?

You guessed it.  Someone I know is still coughing.
I did my morning thing, and not much more.
The sun was out for awhile....WINDY and near 50 (felt like 40).  Still have green grass in the pastures.

I managed a quick trip to Wegmans and spent the afternoon in front of the fire listening to a recorded book.  Gary has been listening off and on.  I'm going to have to get another one tomorrow.  It's kind of fun to "read" this way.

Started dinner and went out to do chores.
Another grainy shot in the dark with no flash.

Could not believe it...Abbe was clean and Berlin was caked with mud.

 Salad with pears...
country ribs with caramelized onions and carrots ala bbq sauce...
baked potatoes.  Tasted great.
Night all.

Let there be Peace for all those involved with Sandy Hook Elementary School and the tragedy that has left people around the world sharing their grief.

  2. Beautiful as always. Feel better soon and you are right, it is all so terribly sad. I posted a prayer today, I felt a need to do that.

  3. Loving my kleenex box right now too. Was supposed to be partly sunny today, but turned out to be a mild drizzle all day long. Stuffy nose for the past two weeks. All the horses are caked in mud, don't even know what color they used to be. Rain forecast for the next two days. Back to the fireplace which Annette and I are fighting over.

  4. I hope you don't get the yuck!
I admire your ability to listen to a book at home! I can't do it. My ADHD kicks in and before I know it, I'm involved in something, and I forget to listen to the book. It happens a bit when I'm driving, too, but not as often!
I hope you have a great week!

  6. Do feel better soon.
I love audio books. When I'm in, one is on. Thank goodness for library downloads! Can knit and "read" at the same time!

  7. I listen to audiobooks all the time, they are great. You can download them free from your library as well as the NY public library, anyone in the state can get a card and they have thousands of books.

    Love those barn shots.

  9. Sorry you guys are under the weather.

I download audio books from the library, and listen to them as I do housework or drive. It really helps with getting housework done.

  10. On our TV here in NZ, messages of sympathy, comfort and care were the words these last few days.I am beyond understanding tragedy like this, and cannot begin to wonder how the families are. This should be a time of Peace to all, not like this.Greetings amid tears, from Jean.p.s. lovely photos of food, night sky and a super meal, as always.

  11. Love your shot of Abbie - so cute! And your night skies are so calm, so peaceful. Not at all like ours lately - torrential rains and very strong winds, lots of power outages and our pastures are a lovely layover for ducks and geese! Hope you're feeling better soon, and as for prayers...we are all grieving for the loss of life and such overwhelming sadness. God be with those families.
